Periods don’t have to get you down; we’ve got some great tips for making you feel better during your period.
Beating the monthly blues
- Relax, have a nice warm bath to help soothe your aching muscles. Or, why not chill in front of the TV - a perfect excuse to put your feet up

- Drink chamomile tea to ease cramps and help you to relax
- Try eating plenty of vitamin B rich foods such as whole-grains and leafy green vegetables during your period to help boost your metabolism
- Avoid alcohol as this can act as a depressant, which may not help when you're already feeling moody
- If you're feeling bloated, drink plenty of water to flush out toxins, reduce your salt intake and avoid caffeine to prevent water retention
- A bit of gentle movement can help to relax your tense muscles; try going for a walk, or even doing the vacuuming can help!
